Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Basehor Bluejay PTO!

If your child started Kindergarten in August or if you just moved into the neighborhood, let us introduce ourselves! We are the Basehor Bluejay Parent/Teacher Organization. We are a group of parents and school staff members who work together to support the students and teachers of Basehor Elementary School (BES) and Basehor Intermediate School (BIS).

Our PTO sponsors many activities throughout the school year. We fund field trips and educational projects, organize teacher appreciation luncheons and events, support Student Council's plans for Red Ribbon Week, and more. We also plan several fun family events each year including Chilingo and our spring carnival! The Basehor Bluejay PTO also likes to give back to our community by collecting donations for our local food pantry, through our senior scholarship fund, and by donating to various community organizations that directly benefit our Bluejays.

The Basehor Bluejay PTO functions with an Executive Board (elected yearly), Committee Chairs (volunteer positions renewed yearly), and Members. Meetings are held monthly and all members are encouraged to attend. All meetings during the 2023-24 school year will be held on Mondays at 6 p.m. in the Basehor Elementary School library. It is easy to get involved with your child’s school through our PTO. All parents and teachers are automatically members of the Basehor Bluejay PTO. In lieu of a membership fee, however, donations are always welcome. All money stays within our organization and is spent on our schools and our students. Checks can be made payable to Basehor Bluejay PTO. We always accept donations through Square as well. You will find a link to our Square account on the bottom right side of this page.

Many volunteers are needed to help the Basehor Bluejay PTO remain a successful and vital organization. We can't do what we do without YOU! There are many levels of involvement and we'd love to have you on our fun, friendly team! Please consider joining us as we work together to support our schools and enhance the education of our Bluejays! It's truly for the kids!
