Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Basehor Bluejay PTO!

If your child started Kindergarten this August or your family is new to the neighborhood, welcome! We’d love to introduce ourselves. We are the Basehor Bluejay Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO), a group of parents and school staff members who work together to support the students and teachers of Basehor Elementary School (BES) and Basehor Intermediate School (BIS).

Throughout the school year, our PTO sponsors a variety of programs, activities, and events that benefit our schools. We help fund field trips and educational projects, organize teacher appreciation events and luncheons, and provide support for students and staff in many different ways. We also host several fun family events each year, including our ice cream social and our spring carnival! In addition, the Basehor Bluejay PTO is proud to give back to our community through donations to our local food pantry, our senior scholarship fund, and other organizations that directly benefit Bluejay families.

The Basehor Bluejay PTO is made up of an Executive Board (elected yearly), Committee Chairs (volunteer positions renewed yearly), and members. Meetings are held monthly, and all members are encouraged to attend. We have monthly meetings that are held in the library of either Basehor Elementary or Basehor Intermediate.

Getting involved with your child’s school through the PTO is easy! All parents and teachers are automatically considered members of the Basehor Bluejay PTO. While there is no membership fee, donations are always appreciated. Every dollar stays within our organization and directly supports our schools and students. Checks may be made payable to Basehor Bluejay PTO, and donations can also be made through Square using the link located on the bottom right side of this page.

Our organization depends on volunteers to remain successful and continue making a positive impact in our schools. Whether you can help occasionally or take on a larger role, there are many ways to get involved. We would love to have you join our fun and welcoming team as we work together to support our schools and enhance the educational experience of our Bluejays. It truly is all for the kids!
